szymon: Aerial photography by Alex MacLean It looks like I have a BA advisor. This is like, a real thing now. This is something I have to do in the next year and it’s terrifying. All the more because the professor who has agreed to work with me is one of my absolute favorites, but he remembers me as a second-year who’d never taken a history class before, and all I want is for him to love and respect me and think highly of me and my intelligence. We’ll see if I can manage that. His advising comes with a condition but I think I can handle it. It’s also scary because it means that I have to start to know, less vaguely than I have known, the ideas I will be working with. I don’t know where to start. This is something that I can decide on a whim now, but still have to care about, in whatever altered form it makes it there with, in ten, eleven months. I’m just not very good at knowing what I want.
